Throughout the years, the QBA has been receiving well-deserved acclaim for its
consistent recognition of outstanding building projects that benefit the community. The
award owes success to the collective efforts of the organizing committee and the
unwavering support from the industry, both of which have played pivotal roles in
elevating the QBA to the current prestigious standing.

The theme of QBA 2024, "Empowering Innovation | Sustaining Green | Generating
Wellness", captures the industry drive to push the boundaries of sustainable built
environments. It is my great honour to be a member of the jury panel. I am heartened to
witness the abundance of smart, caring, green and sustainable features showcased in
the submissions. Their quality is truly remarkable. The innovative solutions presented
by the more than 50 teams not only enhance the aesthetics and functionality of
buildings but also focus on the well-being of building occupants as well as
encompassing a broader community, in particular by introducing the new award
category for buildings in the Greater Bay Area for the first time. The overall
performance has made the competition particularly keen.

I wholeheartedly applaud all the winners for their dedication and esprit de corps. Their
exceptional achievements are a testament to talent, expertise, and relentless pursuit of
excellence. I would also like to extend my gratitude to The Hong Kong Construction
Association, the chairing organization, and members of the organizing committee for
their tireless efforts in making QBA 2024 a resounding success. Your commitment to
promoting quality building practices and advancing sustainable development is
commendable.

Once again, congratulations to all the winners and wish you all the best in your future
endeavours. May enthusiasm be with you always! Let’s join hands and work together for
the betterment of Hong Kong!
