successful launching of the Quality Building Award (QBA) 2024.

construction and building industry towards more responsible practices, inspiring
widespread adoption of eco-friendly solutions. This shift is essential for achieving
long-term environmental goals and ensuring that future generations inherit a
habitable community.

The QBA has long been a beacon of excellence, and this year is no exception. By
embracing the themes of "Empowering Innovation | Sustaining Green | Generating
Wellness," we are not just constructing buildings but creating environments that
promote health, efficiency, and harmony with nature.

The introduction of the new award category, "Building in GBA," which highlights
remarkable building projects within the Greater Bay Area, not only celebrates
architectural and engineering excellence but also strengthens the vital ties between
Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. By recognizing and promoting exemplary projects
in this region, this new award helps foster collaboration, shares best practices, and
drives forward a vision of integrated and sustainable urban development.

To all the award recipients, your dedication, creativity, and hard work are truly
inspiring. You have set new benchmarks in the industry, demonstrating that it is
possible to build sustainably while enhancing the well-being of our communities.
Let us also look forward to a future where our industry continues to push
boundaries, embrace new technologies, and prioritize the health of our people.
