It gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest congratulations to all the awardees of
the Quality Building Award (QBA) 2024.

With a rich history of twenty-two years, QBA aims to recognise exceptional buildings
and collaborative teamwork while promoting a shared commitment to uphold
unparalleled standards of professionalism and competitiveness in the construction
industry.

In a joint effort by the nine esteemed professional organizations, the theme of
‘Empowering Innovation | Sustaining Green | Generating Wellness’ for QBA 2024
showcases the determination to foster innovation, advocate for environmentally friendly
solutions, and enhance societal well-being. As a member of the Jury Panel, I am
delighted to witness the introduction of the new award category, ‘Building in GBA’,
which aligns with our engagement of the development of Greater Bay Area. This
initiative not only honours distinguished building projects in the GBA but also
strengthens partnerships, knowledge sharing, and regional prosperity among Hong
Kong and its neighboring cities in the Greater Bay Area.

In addition, I am very pleased that we have received a host of outstanding submissions
across the eight award categories with their demonstrated extraordinary expertise,
creativity and contributions. The award-winning projects stand as a testament to the
industry's dedication to serving the community with excellence and driving forward the
sustainable advancement of Hong Kong and beyond. Tonight’s Award Presentation
Ceremony serves as a pivotal platform where industry leaders and stakeholders
convene to celebrate achievements and discuss key issues. I am confident that the
industry will continue to thrive with remarkable professionalism and innovation in the
years ahead.

My sincere gratitude goes to the Organizing Committee of ‘QBA 2024’ for their valuable
time and dedication to this significant event. I wish ‘QBA 2024’ every success.
