Strong and effective partnerships are necessary in order to complete successful building projects. Close collaboration must be established amongst clients, architects, engineers, surveyors, main contractors and sub-contractors, together with a shared objective to complete projects of outstanding quality. This is the most important factor to ensure that every building meets the needs of the society and delivers real value to those occupants and users.

To honour project teams for their adoption of the "Team Effort Concept" with devoted efforts to complete building projects of quality and to encourage enhanced partnerships within the industry, professional organizations came together and established the "Quality Building Award" , which is set up not only to award an individual nor an organization, but to recognize the best "Project Teams" which have contributed to complete projects with the highest standards of quality.
